Mohammad Salah took advantage of the red of Antoine Griezmann’s to score twice and beat Atletico Madrid. Salah beat the popularly known 10-man, Atletico Madrid with a 3-2 in the extremely gripping Champion’s League match on Thursday. And that’s it! Salah scores twice as Liverpool.
In order to help Atletico Madrid recover from a very poor start, Antoine Griezmann scored twice in the beginning. But in the second half of the game, Antoine Griezmann accidentally hit his foot on Roberto Firmino’s head. The chaos happened while he was trying to get hold of the soccer ball. Griezmann was then sent straight out of the match with a red card.
This is when Liverpool mainly capitalized on the advantage. Their player, Mohammad Salah took full advantage of the penalty kick delivered in the 78th minute. He thus scored the winner with the help of his penalty kick. A few minutes later, Atletico Madrid also got a penalty. This happened immediately after Liverpool’s third goal. However, the penalty got reversed after a proper review of the video.
In the first half of the game, Liverpool’s player Naby Keita also score for his team. He took a lead with 2-0 by the 13th. The Champions League match took place at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
The result of this match made Liverpool get on the top in the Champions’ League Group B. They gained a total of nine points from playing only just 3 matches. They were a total of five points ahead in the game from Atletico Madrid’s team.
Porto remained at level with the Spanish champions by beating AC Milan in another group match. The match was held at home. Now, Milan remains at zero points.
Now, Atletico will be visiting Liverpool next. While Milan is going to host Porto.
This is going to be the first meeting of Atletico with Liverpool. The Spanish side had eliminated the European champions in the 16th round during the season 2019-20. Liverpool has been seen losing in all the four matches against Atletico in the Champions League till now.

Five minutes later, Keita was seen adding to the lead with a neat volley. The volley was then seen curling up by the post. Felipe, Atletico’s defender was seen mishitting his clearance. The ball then went straight up to Keita from the outside area for a one-timer.
Over the years, Atletico has never been seen concealing within the first 15 minutes of the Champions League match in the Champions League history to date.
